Ingredients
- 2 lbs brisket
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup salsa
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 package of taco shells or tortillas
- Shredded cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, and any other desired toppings
Instructions
1. Begin by seasoning the brisket. In a small bowl, combine the garlic powder, chili powder, cumin, paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Rub the seasoning all over the brisket, making sure the entire surface is coated.
2. Next, add the beef broth, salsa, and olive oil to the Instant Pot. Place the brisket in the pot, making sure it is completely submerged in the liquid.
3. Place the lid on the Instant Pot and set the valve to “sealing”. Cook on high pressure for 45 minutes.
4. When the cooking time is up, allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes. Carefully turn the valve to “venting” to release any remaining pressure.
5. Once the pressure has been released, carefully remove the brisket from the pot and place it on a cutting board. Allow it to rest for 10 minutes.
6. Use two forks to shred the brisket.
7. Heat the taco shells or tortillas according to package instructions.
8. Assemble the tacos with the shredded brisket, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, and any other desired toppings.
9. Serve and enjoy!
