Ingredients:

  • 1 (32-ounce) jar sauerkraut, rinsed and drained
  • 1 (12-ounce) can or bottle beer
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 3 tablespoons dark brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 all-beef hot dogs

Instructions:

In the crock pot, combine the sauerkraut, beer, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder and black pepper. Stir until well combined. Place the hot dogs on top of the sauerkraut mixture. Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours, until the hot dogs are heated through. Serve the hot dogs and sauerkraut with your favorite toppings.

Notes:

This recipe can also be made in the oven. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Place the sauerkraut mixture in a large baking dish and place the hot dogs on top. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the hot dogs are heated through. Serve with your favorite toppings.

Recipe Tips:
