Ingredients

- 1/2 cup cold water
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
Instructions
- Turn the Instant Pot to the “Sauté” setting. Add the olive oil and beef to the pot. Cook the beef for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it’s browned on all sides.
- Add the onion and garlic to the pot and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently, until the onion is softened.
- Add the beef stock, tomato paste, potatoes, carrots, Worcestershire sauce, thyme leaves, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper to the pot and stir until everything is combined.
- Secure the lid on the Instant Pot. Turn the valve to “Sealing” and set the Instant Pot to “Manual” for 30 minutes.
- When the stew is finished cooking, turn the valve to “Venting” to release the steam. Carefully remove the lid.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, water, and melted butter until smooth. Pour the mixture into the stew and stir until combined.
- Secure the lid on the Instant Pot and turn the valve to “Sealing”. Set the Instant Pot to “Manual” for 8 minutes.
- When the dumplings are finished cooking, turn the valve to “Venting” to release the steam. Carefully remove the lid.
- Serve the stew hot with a side of crusty bread.
